Blue Spruce Outdoor School LLC is dedicated to bringing high quality outdoor education to southern Colorado.
We specialize in Avalanche Education, Mountain Biking, and all things Whitewater! Currently we offer certification courses in AIARE Avalanche Education and ACA Swift Water Rescue. Private skill instruction is available for whitewater kayaking and mountain biking.
Our guides are certified by the best in the business - including the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE), American Canoe Association (ACA), and Bicycle Instructor Certification Program (BICP).

Meet the Owner/ Lead Instructor
Brian Puccerella, M.A.
Brian has been an outdoor educator since 2009. With experience guiding and instructing in Alaska, Colorado, and throughout the southeast U.S., he brings a wealth of experience across multiple disciplines. Always stoked for the season at hand, he instructs Avalanche Education, SwiftWater Rescue, whitewater kayaking, and mountain biking.
Certifications include; American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) Pro 1 & Recreation Instructor, American Canoe Association (ACA) Level 4 Swift Water Rescue Instructor, Level 4 Whitewater Kayak Instructor, Bicycle Instructor Certification Program (BICP) Level 1 & Level 2 Skills Instructor, and Wilderness Medicine Training Center (WMTC) Wilderness First Responder.
